March 2012 You are cordially invited to join us in making the 30th Annual Senior Hall of Fame the best yet! Mark your calendar for Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Marriott Pyramid Hotel for a social cocktail hour, silent auction, dinner, and the induction ceremonies. Every year since 1982, Silver Horizons New Mexico has inducted 4 seniors (age 65 +) into its Senior Hall of Fame, recognizing their outstanding, selfless, lifelong contributions to our community. Portraits of our 116 Senior Hall of Fame members are permanently displayed in the Albuquerque Convention Center’s People’s Walkway, and on Silver Horizons website at www.silverhorizons.org. Net proceeds provide critically needed assistance to frail, low-income and/or in-crisis senior citizens in our community. Last year, nearly 400 guests and sponsors raised a record $30,000.00 which touched the lives of 1,900 struggling seniors. The current economy has dramatically increased the number of older adults needing help. This year our goal is $40,000 to accommodate this increasing population. Examples of what we provide are wheelchair ramps, grab-bars, handicap equipment, home repair and maintenance, emergency utility bill payments, evaporative cooler servicing, food distribution, holiday parties and gifts and, very importantly, referral services for legal aid, fraud protection, weatherization, wellness programs, payment plans for utilities and taxes, and more. Your participation as a sponsor provides valuable recognition for you and/or your business through event press releases, publicity, social networking, your ad in the program, and recognition from the podium. For more information, please call one of us or visit our website at www.silverhorizons.org. Review the enclosures, fill out the form and return with your check or credit card information in the envelope provided. Help us keep the wolf away from our elderly neighbors’ doors. Thank you very much. We look forward to hearing from you soon! Sincerely yours,
Â
