February 2010
Dear Friend,
We’re planning the 28th annual Senior Hall of Fame and you are invited to join the celebration!
Silver Horizons New Mexico will for the 28th year induct 4 older adults (65 years of age and older)
into its Senior Hall of Fame. The 2010 honorees will join more than 100 individuals who have been
honored since 1982 in recognition of their lifetime commitments to community service.
The Senior Hall of Fame hangs permanently in the Albuquerque Convention Center in the People’s
Walkway as well as in cyberspace at www.silverhorizons.org.
With this letter we invite you to join the festivities as a sponsor! Being a sponsor is an exceptional
opportunity to put your name and/or your company’s name prominently in front of about 400
community leaders, older adults, their families and friends who all attend the event.
Not only will your sponsorship link your name to this celebration of lives well lived, but it will
demonstrate your esteem and appreciation for the inductees who have done so much to nurture the
development and improvement of our community.
The proceeds of the Senior Hall of Fame always go to Silver Horizons’ aid programs for frail, low income
and/or in-crisis senior citizens. Silver Horizons helps older adults stay safe and comfortable
in their own homes for as long as possible by providing emergency utility assistance; home repairs,
maintenance and chores including seasonal evaporative cooler servicing; wheelchair ramps and
walker steps; safety equipment like grab-bars, transfer benches, high commode seats and surrounding
support frames; emergency and monthly food boxes; and holiday parties and gifts at 18 low-income,
senior housing facilities.
Please follow the link to sponsorship form for information about sponsorships and advertising in the event
program book, and browse our website for more information about Silver Horizons.
Thank you in advance for joining us in this awe-inspiring celebration!
Sincerely yours,
Vickie Terry, President
Phyllis Boverie, Sponsorship Committee Chair
